Improved Performance With dexos® 1 Gen 3

The dexos® trademark introduced by General Motors (GM), represents high-quality, robust oil formulated to some of the most rigorous specifications in the industry.

dexos® 1 Gen 3 is GMs update to dexos® 1 Gen 2, which was launched in 2017. The new specification will meet GM’s new hardware performance needs and includes most of the ILSAC GF-6 engine tests, most of these tests will have significantly higher limits than ILSAC GF-6. It also has its own specified tests including a revised version of the stochastic pre-ignition (SPI) test, fuel economy, and oxidation and turbocharger deposit performance and wear protection. More rigorous testing ensures even greater engine protection than today’s challenging industry standards.

All Gen 2 products must be updated by September 2022. KLONDIKE’s dexos® 1 products which include 0W-20 dexos1® Full Synthetic and 5W-30 dexos1® Full Synthetic will be updated to Gen 3 prior to September 2022 and remain a dexos® licensed product.
