How We Started Out
The company started as a chemical and lubricants supplier to the OEM Dealer Networks and professional service and repair facilities throughout Canada. Known by a demanding customer base for our dedication to quality and outstanding service, we earned a great amount of trust and confidence by providing solutions to a broad range of industries. This led to a rapid level of growth that would be exemplary in today’s marketplace.
Throughout the late 80’s and early 90’s, we maintained a high level of service while meeting the ever-expanding technical requirements in the chemical and lubrication industry. As distribution requirements increased throughout the late 90’s and early 2000’s, the entrepreneurial drive of ownership saw the opportunity to expand our warehousing and delivery capacity, to answer the wide-ranging and specialized needs of the marketplace throughout Canada.
In 2009 we used our ambition, knowledge, and expertise to capitalize on a once in a lifetime challenge known as the ‘Mountain Pine Beetle Epidemic’
The Opportunity that Led to the Creation of KLONDIKE
The Mountain Pine Beetle Epidemic catastrophe was wide-ranging in its destruction and infected many forests along the west coast of Canada, specifically in British Columbia. Millions of hectares of infected trees had to be removed quickly throughout the mountainous terrain, one of the most extreme climates in this region of the world.
Contractors tasked with the harvest were faced with a host of unexpected problems. In addition to extreme weather conditions, this softwood species was dead and extremely dry. Continuously warping bars and chains due to lack of moisture and extraordinarily high frictional temperatures made for a difficult and costly cutting operation. Traditional chain oil blends were not up to the rigorous needs of the immense operation at hand.
The advanced viscosity requirements formulated by our technical team and other global technical experts gave birth to KLONDIKE – BRAVING THE FORCE OF MOVEMENT. KLONDIKE was able to cut lubricant consumption by over 25% by eliminating waste, improving equipment operation and hastening efficiencies in the cutting process, thus improving environmental conditions and preserving the natural heritage of the British Columbia landscape.

Today, KLONDIKE provides packaged lubricants and bulk oil delivery to various areas of the Canadian market, as we continue to expand our facilities throughout North America. Our warehousing and distribution centers have increased significantly in Vancouver, BC, and have grown to include facilities in Edmonton, AB; Winnipeg, MB; Toronto, ON; and Moncton, NB; to name a few.
